Haiti Earthquake Relief
Currently additional February funds are going down with EBM missionary Pierre Cadet who is in Port au Prince working with the church in developing a plan to help meet the needs of the congregation while also ministering the love of Jesus to those in need around them. On January 12, 2010 the earth shook, buildings crumbled and tens of thousands of men, women, and children lost everything, and some even lost their lives in and around Port au Prince, the Capitol city of Haiti. Over the years, EBM has developed some very strong partnerships in the ongoing ministry in Haiti. These partnerships are now effective avenues by which to direct aid to the enormous devastation and r One such partnership is the ministry of Double Harvest which has been operating in Haiti for many years. It has become a center for evangelism through agriculture, greenhouses, an elementary school and as well as a vocational school and a clinic/hospital. Double Harvest occupies a compound of 200 acres about 10 miles east of Port-au-Prince. For nearly 20 years, EBM has worked closely alongside this strategic ministry, providing personnel, teams from churches etc. To learn more about the Double Harvest Project, visit http://www.doubleharvest.org/ Double Harvest is well situated to have a strategic impact in the relief efforts that will at the same time communicate the love of Christ. There are right now on site: Much of the medical, food, and water needs of the local community surrounding Double Harvest have been and are being addressed. Double Harvest is also supplying potable water from their wells to points in Port-au-Prince. Click to see pictures of the help that is going on now at Double Harvest click here
PRAY for our Haitian brothers and sisters. PRAY for the witness of the Gospel to be clear and that Haitians would look to Christ for salvation, help, and hope.
