Need: Volunteers to Construct Missionary Home

In the past, it was very common for missionaries to go to the field without making plans for retirement. Although EBM encouraged them to have some sort of investment plan, many of them invested their income back into the ministry they were doing. EBM is now helping new missionaries plan for retirement by requiring that a plan be set in place at the onset of their missionary career. However, for those veteran missionaries who have given their lives and their support to their missionary endeavor, it has become a difficult thing to face retirement. CAN YOU HELP?

Joe and Jerry Sue Lantz are planning to retire next year. Faced with the fact that they have never owned a home and with the high cost of living where they have ministered, they have not owned one there and so they have no equity for housing here. They have learned of an organization, Missionary Acres in Missouri, which will build a home for cost of materials. To keep the costs so reasonable, the missionaries need to find volunteers to help build the home.
So, How can you help?

  1. If you would like to volunteer or line up a construction team from your church to spend a week or longer in southern Missouri to assist the staff there in building the home for our EBM missionaries the Lantzes, contact Joe Lantz' email: jlantz@ebm.org
