Light the Night

01_lightbulb2.jpg Since 1990, a brutal military dictatorship has controlled Myanmar, a predominately Buddhist country. Because there is little concern for the people, the government provides no electricity for the country. Everything must run on generators.

EBM is partnering with the Kachin Baptist Association which operates a Bible college near the Chinese border. The school trains and places its students in key areas to evangelize and plant churches in Myanmar. The school has 113 students and 12 teachers who need to extend their studying into the evening hours. Currently the school provides gasoline-generated electricity for 2.5 hours each night at a cost of $10 per day. Gasoline prices are increasing which will cause the electricity to be cut back.

Only $10.00 a night provides electricity to run lights for students to study and learn how to reach their world.

Need: $3650 annual need
